Vsphere Failed to Upload to Datastore Due to Ssl Certificate
Cannot send a file to ESXi Datastore using vSphere Spider web Customer
Hi,Yesterday I tried to send an ISO file to ESXi server and I got below fault:The performance failed for an undetermined reason. Typically this problem occurs due to certificates that the browser does not trust. If y'all are using self-signed or custom certificates, open the URL below in a new browser tab and accept the certificate, then retry the operation. https:/
Hi to all,
Dear Rod-IT, Thank you for your efforts and time.
My problem has been solved by removing AV. Disabling AV services couldn't solve this outcome, therefore I was forced to uninstall it from the machine.
Thanks

You also dont land what version of ESXi this is, with or without vCentre?

It looks like you are uploading to an NFS share, perhaps a NAS, if so enable CIFS/SMB and re-create it using windows straight to the NAS

Hi there,
I'm non sure of the finer details of your setup, but promise this helps. I sometimes come beyond problems with uploading to VMWare Datastores, so I've taken to, where possible, uploading using an SCP Client (for example, WinSCP). The bug I by and large see is the speed of upload for large ISOs. Uploading using an SCP client is and so much faster and more reliable.
You lot take to enable SSH access on the VMWare ESXi, and of form, it is wise to switch off SSH admission afterward. I've pasted in some useful links below rather than reinventing the wheel.
Overall fix of steps:
- Enable SSH (either through the ESXi host settings, or from the console of the ESXi host)
- Download an SCP client
- Connect to the VMWare ESXi host/datastore
- Upload the ISO
- Switch off/disable SSH again
https://graspingtech.com/connect-esxi-6-5-host-using-ssh-windows/
https://graspingtech.com/transfer-files-vmware-esxi-6-5-host/
Promise it helps. Quick tip, pay shut attention to the path that you're uploading to, being sure to follow the guidance and become the ISO in to the right location.

SSH and SCP are but required for uploads to local host, the OP seemed to be uploading to a remote datastore, over NFS (which for some reason they have at present revoked).
They likewise provided two IP addresses, one of which I assume is the host, the other the IP for the storage, but with things unclear and the OP coming back to edit their postal service and remove the screenshots, but not update usa, we have but to wait for more information.

Had the same problem, your using html5, login using the non html5 option, thinks information technology's using flash... html5 not 100% yet...
To be clear, in what version did you have bug?
non-HTML5 is chosen flex, formerly flash client.

I'm going to exist taking a different approach, since you likewise have the other thread about AD Controllers...
Check DNS first, every bit others have suggested in both threads, merely also check the health of your physical network; notably your switches. Yous might have a network error acquired by cabling, hardware or firmware. This could explicate both problems.

Rod-Information technology, thanks for the extra info. I thought I must be missing something where you lot made reference to the two IPs and NFS, merely if the OP has edited it and i didn't see the original full postal service, that makes sense. Thank y'all for that

That makes no sense at all.
You never mentioned AV at the kickoff, nor did you answer whatever questions asked, so how are people supposed to aid you if we dont know the details.
For what it'south worth though, you dont get any points for awarding yourself all-time reply.

I encountered this in our vsphere environment, and to gear up information technology I opened the esxi hosts webpage that the error referenced, and accustomed the certificate warning that Chrome/Firefox presented, went back to vsphere and it worked

I have had this error before (vCenter / ESX six.5) and had to connect directly to a host to upload a file to a datasore when i was unable to upload to the aforementioned storage via vCenter.

I have seen this before also. If you practise not have a proper security certificate on your hypervisors, and you lot try to upload a file through vCenter, the process fails due to the invalid certificate. One work around, ordinarily works, is to browse straight to the hypervisor, become the invalid certificate warning, and continue to the hypervisor. Once this is done, retry uploading your file through vCenter.
